Burgers at their best

Posted by burgerboy on 9/8/2008

I have been to the Athenian Grill 3 times this summer for a burger. Not only is the meat top guality, it is cooked just the way I like it. I ordered the green olive burger and to my surprise olives are in the middle of the meat and on top. And... the bun is grilled! It don't get better than that.

Awesome Salads

Posted by Anna H. on 4/12/2006

Although all the food here is good, the salads are superb. This is the only place in town that has authentic Greek food and whatever you order, you won't be disappointed. They have everything from chicken and beef gyros, greek salads (with or without gyros meat), rice pudding (my absolute favorite treat), pasta salads, and baklava. Great place to stop in for lunch. Service is fast and excellent.

Athenian Grill

This is the place to go for Greek food in Dubuque. The food is fresh, authentic, and the portions are large. They make their own pita bread. They will cater parties or prepare their specialties for you to take home for your party. You can dine in or carry out. The restaurant is very clean. The owners and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is served in a timely manner. They have several vegetarian entrees also.

Good Greek

The Athenian Grill is a great alternative to the endless burger and fast food joints in Dubuque. The place is small, casual and friendly. The euros are delicious! Be sure to subsitute the pasta salad for the fries. Expect crowds at lunchtime. Dubuque could use more friendly, ethnic restaurants like the Athenian Grill.
